GKONOMICS identifies and supports social entrepreneurs who have demonstrated their commitment and ability to run a sustainable business and work with disadvantaged communities sharing our vision of an economy that does not leave the poor behind.
One such entrepreneur is Philo Chua or Theo and Philo Chocolates.
Meet Jason Ladrera, one of Theo & Philo's team members from a Gawad Kalinga community in Balut, Tondo, Manila.
Our social entrepreneurs are connected with experts and fellow entrepreneurs who could help them in their entrepreneurial journey.
The GKONOMICS global network includes angel investors who are willing to fund and partner with qualified social entrepreneurs.
GKONOMICS offers relevant Entrepreneurs Workshops that cover legal, finance, marketing, strategic planning, management, and community dynamics issues.

GKONOMICS regularly gathers entrepreneurs, partner communities, partners, and volunteers for a few hours of inspiration, updates, and fellowship.
One of the attendees describes his experience in these assemblies, “I love being a part of GKON assemblies because I always learn something, feel re-energized and inspired especialy by the stories and sharings, and I am empowered knowing that I am a part of a big family that supports me in my journey.”
In 2018, GKONOMICS entered into a partnership with the Hernandez Family who owns a beautiful, idle 1.6 hectare farm in Lipa, Batangas that was once a thriving agri-preneurship training ground for disadvantaged youth. It is now home to GKONOMICS efforts to promote countryside development.
In 2019, GKONOMICS partnered with nearby Dagatan Family Farm School, a hybrid school (Grades 7-10), offering the farm as a base for developing future agri-preneurs to help spur countryside development in the Philippines.
